Exits app every time I lock my phone

This app was great when I used it last season. It got updated and now every time I lock my phone between shots or holes, the app exits completely and I have to go back in and hit play golf every time then go back to the GPS tab to enter my club selection. Super annoying and takes too much time. Ill be finding something else to use now.
